Today is the DAY 6 of our Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge! We are going to be praying through Proverbs 31:15
She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
In yesterday’s prayer & affirmation, we focused on what it means to go to great lengths to nourish, nurture, and tend the needs of your family. You can get caught up with yesterday’s lesson here!
Remember, each day’s prayers are 100% based upon the verses found in Proverbs 31:10-31. In this way, our prayers, affirmations, and confessions are aligned with scripture will help us to become more a virtuous woman. (aka our “Virtuous Woman Prayers.”)
Many call this “praying through scripture.” It’s very foundational in praying prayers that God hears and answers. (Please see 1 John 5:14-15 for more on this.)
Today’s video lesson we will be praying and affirming about how being well organized and prepared is not only a blessing to your family, but to those who come alongside us to help us, in our lives. It takes a humble heart to realize the need for help and to then ask for it. (This isn’t a sign of weakness or laziness, but strength!)
If you are also going through our Proverbs 31 Woman Bible Study, then today’s lesson pairs perfectly with Day 6 of that study!

Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge – Day 6
Prayer
Lord, help me to be well organized so my household can be well-prepared for their tasks and our home can be efficient and well-run. I understand that this is not only a blessing to my family, but to those who may come alongside to help me, in different areas or seasons of my life.
Also, help me to recognize when I need help to be a humble enough to ask for help. This will also lessen my load and gives me greater freedom to flow in other areas of my life and home.
Sometimes I struggle to ask for help. So help me to see that asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of strength and humility. I have no need to feel shame or embarrassment.
Please, bring people into my life that I can trust and who will be loyal to me, during those times of help. Not people who will expose or mock me.
Lord, I need the wisdom to know who I should ask for help. At the same time, I want to be open to the help I receive.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Proverbs 3l:15
As I studied Proverbs 31:15 this morning I was so touched because I fall in the category of being unorganized. I have never in life been as I am right now and for me it keeps me on edge because it causes me to struggle more than I should. So this subject blessed me this morning. #Working on my organizational skills.

I struggle asking for help and I think that is because I am the oldest and had to help raise my sisters. This lesson has come when I’m also looking for an answer for something and I told the Lord I need something the I could plainly see and I guess it doesn’t get any plainer than this. So now I guess I have to do the follow through, which scares me…
Angelica says
Know that God will be with you during the follow-through, Barb! If He has called you, He will equip you! You’ve got this, SisterFriend.

DAy 6… I tried to hear the video but did not open. lol. I think I am organized overall but I am not one for begging for help because people are usually busy and give their lists and some have said will help but no show. So, I usually plan alone. Folks may help the day of the event when see I am handling alone. lol. I try not to organize too much on my plate. Always pray for strength to carry out. He gives it. I do love helping others no matter where I go.

You make my heart happy, Terri!

Today’s lesson has “brought to life” the importance of organization in my home and that I don’t have to do everything. I have a loving husband and we are raising three beautiful girls. I’m a huge organizer and I struggle sometimes with asking for help. I’m learning that by asking for help, I’m teaching my girls the value of serving others and the satisfaction that comes for being a help-mate. This is something very importance for them to learn as they grow into young ladies. Thank you for this study and what each day speaks into my heart.
Donna says
I would be more productive if I did delegate tasks to others and not try to do it all myself. I am not afraid to ask for help, however, it is hard for me to do so because I enjoy all that I do for others but going forward will try to be better at letting go of tasks and trusting that others can and will help me.
Lorraine says
This an area that I have trouble in, asking for help. But I realized that it’s all a part of God’s design for us to interact, and be helpers of one another. I will have to work on this area more! Very Good Bible study.
