Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge – Day 1
Prayer {Proverbs 31:10-31}
Lord, thank you for giving me an example of a virtuous woman, through your Word. In your wisdom, you’ve already laid out what she looks like and who she is. Mostly though, thank you for allowing me to see that being a Proverbs 31 Woman isn’t about my deeds, but my character.
I’ll admit that prior to now, I was overwhelmed and felt daunted by all the things the Proverbs 31 Woman did. It’s comforting to know my focus should be on developing Godly Character, instead.
Also, help me to teach my children the Godly attributes they should look for in a spouse. I want them to marry a Godly spouse and not be unevenly yoked with an unbeliever.
Groom my heart to desire Godly character over good deeds because I know Godly character will eventually produce good, Godly deeds.
Bring other women into my life who will disciple me as Proverbs 31 Woman. And bring women into my life, who I can link arms with and we hold each accountable.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Affirmation & Confession
I am a Proverbs 31 Woman.
My character is being fully groomed and developed as good, Godly character.
I walk virtuously in all I do as a woman, wife, mother, friend, sister, daughter, homemaker, employee, and business owner.
I am keen on teaching my sons and daughters about the kind of spouse they should marry. They will marry good, Godly spouses who have the heart of Jesus.
Godly women are in my life to mentor, disciple, and hold me accountable. I do the same for them.
I decree and declare this over my life, as according to Proverbs 31:10-31
And it is so — Amen.

I thought it would be an actual video with someone talking. I guess I was confused. So far this has been very helpful and I am encouraged as I walk this journey towards being that Proverbs 31 Woman. This online bible study is great because I can do it on my own time and really give it the attention it needs. God bless you for doing this.
Angelica says

There is a video! Do you have popup blockers turned on? You’ll need to turn them off to view the video.

Becky says
Hello, thank you for the affirmation. The part that hit closes to my heart is that I don’t have to be perfect. Satan tries to use my past to tell me I am not good enough to be a Proverb 31 woman, but I try daily to remind myself that I left that past at the cross and it needs to stay there so I can grow from it and become who God planned for me to be
Cheri says
Sorry so late…
Absolutely, “Godly character!” I am working on this in every facet of my life.
Thank you so very much for pointing me in the correct way.

Maris Luker says
Hey Angelica,
I am not able to see the video’s for the Affirmations & Confessions Challenge. So I just read the information that you had on day 1. It gives me your video where I would press to watch it , but it takes me to the written information. Am I supposed to go to your Facebook page for the video?
And I am behind ,but don’t worry as long as I can see the video’s for each day I will be fine. I am not a fast learner.
Thank you for your time,
Maris
Angelica says
Hi Maris! You will need to turn off popup blockers to view the videos — it may start with an ad, but keep watching and the Daily Video will start right after. If you are still having trouble, please contact us (ClientCare@Proverbs31BusinessWomen.com) and we’ll assist you further.
Maris Luker says
Hey Angelica,
And about the question that you asked ,”Tell me which part of today’s prayer and affirmation had the greatest impact on your heart? What will you do to challenge yourself to grow more in that area of your life?”
Pray and ask God to create in me a Godly character and to be a virtuous woman.
Thank you for the time and effort that you have put into making all of these study materials and sharing them with me and others.
God Bless!
Wanda Tann says
I thank you so much for the opportunity to study and pray Proverbs 31. I’m looking forward to the new woman I will become. God bless you Angelica!
Brenda J Class says
I really loved the piece of the prayer that thanks God for showing me so perfectly, what a Proverbs 31 woman is. Also, needed the affirmation that it is more important to be a woman of character. I will challenge myself to be the good friend I am called to be by being interested in their lives and troubles. I know that is vague but to say more would take a lot of background, so I will suffice to say that I will practice my good character in my friendships.
Angelica says
Love your heart, Brenda.
Cindy says
“It’s comforting to know my focus should be on developing Godly Character, instead.”
This is where I need to focus. I’m always so busy, busy, busy “doing”.
I want to continue to help people as God leads, but I need to shift my focus to “being” first, then “doing”.
Mary says
I CAN SEE VIDEO, BUT THE SOUND IS NOT LOUD ENOUGH. i RAISED THE SOUND BAR AND MY COMPUTER SOUND IS ON HIGH. iS THERE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO? (i CAN ALSO READ BUT WANT TO HEAR YOU. THANK YOU FOR THIS STUDY AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PRINTED LESSONS, ETC.)
Angelica says
Hi Mary! I’m so sorry you are having difficulties with the sound. Have you tried using earbuds or headphones? Or even watching/listening on your phone? Those are things other SisterFriends have done with success.
Robin says
So glad to finally be able to join you in the quest to be Godly women! Starting a little late due to family situations, but thankful to find the time to grow in Him! I am so excited to be part of this great Bible study and prayer time!
After six years of caring for my mom, dad and mom in-love, I need to pull my life back together. Caring for three in their 80’s and 90’s was much more difficult than I had expected. The journey was well worth it, but now that they have all joined their Savior, I find that I need to re-boot and rest in the Lord as I seek to be a Proverbs 31 woman. I am so excited to join you on this journey!
Angelica says
May the Lord bless you abundantly, Robin, for sacrificing your time for your elders. What a blessing you are!
Jessie says
Hi I’m just now able to start the prayer and affirmation challenge as well as the Proverbs 31 Bible Study. I ordered the online Bible study plus the companion workbook. Is this all that I need for the challenge he and the Bible study?
Angelica says
Hi Jessie! I’m so glad you’ve chosen to join us for the Bible study and Prayer Challenge. You can do both with just paper and pen, but if you choose to purchase the Workbook, that goes with the Bible study. If you choose to purchase the Prayer Journal, that goes with the Challenge. I hope that helps! (Feel free to reach out via email if you have more questions: clientcare@proverbs31businesswoman.com
Debra Hart says
Who we are and how we present ourselves should be more important that doing things/deeds to please others rather than God (to desire Godly character over good deeds because I know Godly character will eventually produce good, Godly deeds.)
