Today is the DAY 10 of our Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge! We are going to be praying through Proverbs 31:21-22:
She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
In yesterday’s prayer & affirmation, we focused on what it means to go to great lengths to nourish, nurture, and tend the needs of your family. You can get caught up with yesterday’s lesson here!
Remember, each day’s prayers are 100% based upon the verses found in Proverbs 31:10-31. In this way, our prayers, affirmations, and confessions are aligned with scripture will help us to become more a virtuous woman. (aka our “Virtuous Woman Prayers.”)
Many call this “praying through scripture.” It’s very foundational in praying prayers that God hears and answers. (Please see 1 John 5:14-15 for more on this.)
Today’s video lesson we will be praying and affirming about being prepared for the seasons of life. It’s important to recognize that our seasons of womanhood, wifehood, and motherhood will change and we need to be preparing ourselves and our family for it.
If you are also going through our Proverbs 31 Woman Bible Study, then today’s lesson pairs perfectly with Day 10 of that study!

Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge – Day 10
Prayer
Lord, help me to be prepared for the different seasons of life, especially the “winter” season. Also, help me to be cognizant of my modesty and dressing in a way that reflects the focus of my heart.
I am not naive to think there will always be “spring and summer” seasons. “Fall and winter” are coming. I desire to prepare my family and household for the “winter” and the possibility of lean times ahead. I want to be like the Proverbs 31 Woman who is not afraid because she and her household well-prepared!
I recognize that modesty is more than just a reflection of my attire. It is a reflection of the condition and focus of my heart.
I do not want to allow the world to dictate how I should dress…yet I desire stayed trendy and fashionable.
Holy Spirit dress me daily. I surrender to Your leading on how I may need to modify my clothing choices, even if that means giving or throwing something away.
Help me to find that sweet spot in You. I just want to Glorify the Lord in all I do, even my clothing choices.
Because my clothing choices speak of the condition of my heart — I want them to be speaking what’s true about me and my relationship with Christ!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Confession & Affirmation
I am discerning of the physical, emotional, and spiritual seasons of me and my family’s life.
I am not afraid of the “winter” or lean seasons.
I am not surprised or caught off-guard because I am to be well-prepared and I help prepare my family and others around me.
I am modest and trendy.
I dress with class and tastefulness.
People never have to wonder about the condition of my heart or relationship with Christ because of something I wear.
My clothing choices reflect my heart and mostly the heart of God.
This does not mean I am put into a box. It simply means I am sensitive and discerning to the Holy Spirit’s leading about my attire. I am confident He not only knows how to dress me but also how my clothing is “on-trend” for the personality and influence God’s given me.
I am confident in this!
I decree and declare this over my life, as according to Proverbs 31:21-22
And it is so — Amen.

Hello just finished my proverbs 31 #10, it’s just awesom. I try to prepare myself for the changing of seasons, but sometimes we get those spiritual season, where we need to listen and learn. And about modesty, it is very important how we dress for God, it resembles how we respect our father..

This is an awesome study! I am a giver, and it makes one feel so good about helping others. Giving allows us to take the focus off ourselves, and put it on others, and to feel their need..Lord help us to be purposeful in creating a Legacy of Philanthropy!!
