Today is the DAY 7 of our Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge! We are going to be praying through Proverbs 31:16
She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
In yesterday’s prayer & affirmation, we focused on what it means to go to great lengths to nourish, nurture, and tend the needs of your family. You can get caught up with yesterday’s lesson here!
Remember, each day’s prayers are 100% based upon the verses found in Proverbs 31:10-31. In this way, our prayers, affirmations, and confessions are aligned with scripture will help us to become more a virtuous woman. (aka our “Virtuous Woman Prayers.”)
Many call this “praying through scripture.” It’s very foundational in praying prayers that God hears and answers. (Please see 1 John 5:14-15 for more on this.)
Today’s video lesson we will be praying and affirming about how being resourceful and putting our skills to work for the good of our family. A wise woman uses her skills and talents for the benefit of those in her household and community! (Not just herself or her own self-gain.)
If you are also going through our Proverbs 31 Woman Bible Study, then today’s lesson pairs perfectly with Day 7 of that study!

Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge – Day 7
Prayer
Lord, help me to be resourceful and to put my skills to work for the good of my family — not just for myself.
I desire to come alongside my (future) husband, using my skillset and wisdom, to help increase the resources of my household. I desire to bring “good” to my (future) husband and family.
Show me the skills you’ve given me so I can use them to bless my family financially. And not only that….leave a path for future generations to follow. I want to leave a financial blessing for my children’s children. (And my niece’s nieces and my nephew’s nephews and my mentee’s mentees.)
I have legacy on my mind!
I desire to be intentional and thoughtful with my decision-making. There’s no room for hasty decisions.
I want to be purposeful.
I want to have a strong work ethic — working with eagerness and diligence.
Lord give me a heart and vision to care and see about the future of my family and the generations that are to come.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Confession & Affirmation
I am resourceful.
I am skillful.
I am purposeful.
I will use my skills to bless my family. I will be intentional about building up resources so that future generations will be blessed. I know it’s not just about me, but my children’s children. (And my niece’s nieces and my nephew’s nephews and my mentee’s mentees.)
I am a legacy-minded woman. Everything I do, I do with legacy on my mind!
I decree and declare this over my life, as according to Proverbs 31:16
And it is so — Amen.

I printed both the Prayer and Confession and the Bible study pages, however I only got 4 days of the Affirmation cards and all of the prayer cards but the first 4. I follow along and have been writing them down.

School begins tomorrow and with 3 kids to get up, ready and out the door, I’m going to use my organizational skills. We have pre-prepped lunch items and will pre-pack lunches the night before as well as fill water bottles, get snacks and lay out clothes. I also have pre-made breakfast items (muffins, bagels, etc) and breakfast sandwiches on hand so our mornings will run smoothly. God has placed the desire upon my heart for a peaceful home so we will begin each day with a devotional at breakfast instead of running out the door and eating in the car. With so much uncertainty in this world, I want my girls to know their value and to be responsible as well as be a blessing to their friends and teachers. I trust that God will help me each and every day, to be a godly example as he grants the desires of my heart.
