Born a King
In today’s lesson of the 25 Days of Advent Bible Study Series, we discovered the foretelling of the Messiah as being born a King (Jeremiah 30:9).
This is later fulfilled in the New Testament.
Here’s what we know in this Scripture:
Jesus came to walk the earth and rule as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Because His presence on earth established the Kingdom of God, He had to walk as the King of that Kingdom.
The Messiah was given full rights, access, power, and responsibility to operate in the role of King in the earth under the authority of God’s Kingdom. His inheritance is ours, to walk in the same manner as joint-heirs.
25 Days of Advent Prayer – Day 11
Pray this with me for our 25 Days of Advent Prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank you for your fulfillment of Jeremiah 30:9.
Jesus the Messiah was prophesied about in this Scripture as being born a King.
Jesus was given the rights, power, and honor as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
And even when Herod tried his best to rid the world of our Lord, God, Your hand of protection was there to ensure all of Scripture was fulfilled and no harm would come to Him.
May our hearts keep the focus on Christ’s birth, purpose, and fulfillment during this Holy Season.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
