Today is the DAY 11 of our Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge! We are going to be praying through Proverbs 31:23:
Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
In yesterday’s prayer & affirmation, we focused on what it means to go to great lengths to nourish, nurture, and tend the needs of your family. You can get caught up with yesterday’s lesson here!
Remember, each day’s prayers are 100% based upon the verses found in Proverbs 31:10-31. In this way, our prayers, affirmations, and confessions are aligned with scripture will help us to become more a virtuous woman. (aka our “Virtuous Woman Prayers.”)
Many call this “praying through scripture.” It’s very foundational in praying prayers that God hears and answers. (Please see 1 John 5:14-15 for more on this.)
Today’s video lesson we will be praying and affirming about having a Godly impact on our husband. It’s important for us to recognize the power of our influence in being a “good thing” has on the people in our lives.

Proverbs 31 Woman Prayer & Affirmation Challenge – Day 11
Prayer
Lord, please help me to develop the kind of character and virtue that has a Godly impact on my (future) husband.
I understand that men are wired with their pride, dignity, and honor at the core of their being. I also know my (future) husband has a God-given role that I never want to usurp or dishonor. I want to keep this in mind, as I’m working on being his “good thing.”
Groom me to be a woman who respects and honors her (future) husband at all times. I have learned that respect = love to a man. By my respect for him, others will see this and follow suit. I want him to be highly esteemed on his job and in our community.
I desire to be the leader of respect in my household. I want to do my best to live in a such a way that is honorable before God and my (future) husband.
I want my good to rub off on him. May the goodness in my life bring goodness to his life, including respect among his peers!
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Confession & Affirmation
I am a respectful woman and (future) wife.
My character is Godly and points people towards Christ.
I love my (future) husband, therefore I chose to respect him and his God-given role in our family.
My (future) husband is highly esteemed and honored on his job, in the community, and any place he is known.
I am a powerful influence in his life. My good rubs off on him and bring goodness to his life.
I decree and declare this over my life, as according to Proverbs 31:23
And it is so — Amen.

My husband is a nonchristain man, and I have become lax in the way I honor and treat him. I realize I have to ask God to help me with this. There are many days I become frustrated and irritated with him, and that makes it very difficult to do. Of course the enemy has different plans, and seems to thrive on my failure. I needed to hear&read this today… God has been talking to me thru this Proverbs 31 journey.
Working on this one. Husband was working alot before the pandemic, and we were passing each other, he was coming, I was going with the.shifts we were working. But thank God we got a chance to work it out.
