25 Days of Advent Daily Scripture Reading – Day 21
Our daily Scripture reading for the 25 Days of Advent Bible Study Series is Luke 1:39-45:
Mary Visits Elizabeth
39 In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, 40 and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. 41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

25 Days of Advent Reflections & Commentary – Day 21
A Divine Interaction when Mary Visits Elizabeth
In today’s lesson of the 25 Days of Advent Bible Study Series, we discovered a divine interaction when Mary visits Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-45):
This the fulfillment of a previous passage of Scripture we read earlier in our studies.
Here’s what we know in this Scripture:
There is a divine interaction that happens when Mary visits Elizabeth.
Elizabeth, upon hearing Mary’s greeting, is filled with the Holy Spirit and so is the baby she’s carrying (John the Baptist).
Elizabeth then proclaims a blessing of favor and honor over Mary and the two have a holy, divine exchange.
May God bless you with divine encounters and strategic, holy alliances with other women. Their words of encouragement, hope, and affirmation will propel you into your destiny!
25 Days of Advent Prayer – Day 21
Pray this with me for our 25 Days of Advent Prayer:
Dear Lord, I thank you for your fulfillment of Luke 1:39-45.
This is a constant reminder of the sacredness of the birth of Jesus, the Messiah, which was prophesied about previously. This Scripture is the fulfillment of those prophecies.
Thank you for kinship relationships with family and friends, where I can find solace, support, and camaraderie through life’s precious moments.
Help me to be the kinship type of person who has opened doors for, and has an open heart towards, those precious souls you’ve entrusted to me and my life.
May our hearts keep the focus on Christ’s birth, purpose, and fulfillment during this Holy Season.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
